MRT - weird!

Post by Lesley »

The only 3 foods that are red:
wheat, cauliflower and celery

Yellow:
Acetamino, almond, avocado, banana, broccoli, cola, cranberry, garbanzo, ginger, grapefruit, honey, kamut, parsley, plum rice, rye, salmon, shrimp, string beans, swt. potato, tapioca, turmeric, watermelon

Everything else is various lengths of green.

There is very little that corresponds to the enterolab test - eg almond, rice are yellow. Most dairy is green. Interesting!

I thought I could eat goat's milk, but cow's milk? I know that sends me to the potty.

This is very strange indeed.

Lesley,

Try not to compare the tests - they measure two different things. Reds, yellow and high greens are suspicious for causing symptoms. Also, there is a cumulative effect - can't just look at each food in isolation. Even low green foods need to be tested by eating them and seeing your response.

What are you eatinig in Phase 1?

Thanks for explaining that. So everything on the list is suspect? The lowest greens might be tolerated, but the others might not? Am I understanding now?

Meg asked me not to start the program without her. We are meeting on Wednesday to figure out my diet for phase one.

Thanks MB

Lowest greens most likely to be tolerated but not 100% sure. The reason is there are many ways in which one can be intolerant to foods and MRT just picks up a particular type of reaction.

Goo dluck getting started. Phase 1 ia always challenging.

Hi Lesley,

Wow - no meats are red or yellow? I hope that holds some promise for you.

I'm not your typical MCer, so my experience probably doesn't count, but I tested green for all grains except oats, yet I'm only able to eat corn flour right now. I hope you fare better and will be able to increase the variety of foods you can eat.

Morning Lesley,

So happy you are meeting with Meg and I am sure the 2 of you will come to a positive assumption for your diet. You have really suffered enough and hope the end of the dark tunnel is showing more light.

Love, Maggie

Thanks guys. I really hope so because I feel so rotten today, and I am tired of it. I need to feel I am making some progress.

Gloria, I hope you are right. MRT and enterolabs are at odds on a lot of things here.
