So my GI's office called me this morning. My doctor is out of the office this week so another Dr. in the practice called me. She said that since I am very young and already have had 2 colonoscopies in the past 5 years (the last one a year ago), she is very confident that I don't have anything serious going on. She reassured me that it is most definitely hemorrhoids. Especially since the blood was red and there was blood on the tissue. Since there was blood on the tissue she said that it is coming right from the area. She was very nice. She is actually the Dr in the practice that has the mast cell issue. I didn't ask her anything about it since I am at work.
The last mushy/semi formed BM i had was yesterday morning (with the blood). I haven't gone since (which is a HUGE shock bc I ALWAYS go in the morning). I have been taking the l-glutamine powder and I really think it may be working! (fingers crossed-i don't want to jinx myself) and diet too of course. I will keep you all posted.

At last - a gastroenterologist who actually thinks, rather than just ordering unnecessary, (and expensive), tests.

Good for her. What she said makes perfect sense.

I sounds like 'roids to me, too Jenny. It's great if the L-glutamine is helping! I hope you continue to get Normans.
