Beth, you're most welcome.
Believe me, my budget is shot to hell because of this insistence on grass fed meats. I go into the local Ralph's and see the prices for prime beef (especially on sale!), which I know TASTES delicious, but I also know what it brings along with it I find it hard to stick to my guns.
But it's worth it. I see the results in my blood tests. I am eating meat, potatoes, coconut milk and that's about it for now. I branched out a little, but felt so rotten I have gone back. Not that I feel better right now
The WF #5 chickens are included in the grass fed category. They have the nutrients you need. Just stick to them and your baby will be FINE!
Much of your aversion to food might be from your pregnancy and not from the MC. My last pregnancy I could not go near grapefruit all the way through, and peas also made my stomach churn.
I am about to start on the LEAP program, and am hoping I get some relief through the rotation diet.

Hmmmmm. Now that's an interesting observation. Does your first daughter have any of the classic allergies?
Tex
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Interesting question, Tex. My first daughter doesn't seem to have outward allergies, but her daughter has excema. DD1 had a cold with a persistent cough last week and I suggested she go to the doctor to see if she had pneumonia. She replied that she's always reluctant to go to a doctor for fear she'll be prescribed an antibiotic and end up with MC like me.Tex wrote:Hmmmmm. Now that's an interesting observation. It's my second daughter who has all of the classic problems: IBS (which went away after her pregnancies), Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and just recently, she was diagnosed as diabetic like her dad. The IBS has returned now that she's increased her Glucophage medication. I've written before that she's very overweight, a common problem with PCOS.
I guess my chocolate abstinence didn't help her for very long.
Gloria
You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
