Dear Polly,
So very sorry to hear that your brother passed. Fortunately, he will no longer have to suffer and I hope your pain ends soon. I too know what it is like to lose a sibling and my sister was only 41. Time does heal the pain.
Love, Maggie

Polly,
I'm so sorry that you've lost your brother. I've been wanting to ask, but I thought you'd post about him when you felt ready. I have three brothers and can't imagine losing one of them. I hope you can slowly begin to pass through your grief and know that you gave him your love and support when he needed it.
Thank you for asking about me, even as you mourn. I'm doing about the same as I have since I went back on Entocort in August. Entocort helps with the urgency, which is why I continue to take it, but I am no closer to remission. I have tried antihistamines, L-glutamine, and began taking generic Zantac a few days ago, but my symptoms continue.
I'm pretty stymied right now. I'm considering substituting one Imodium pill for one Entocort pill on a regular basis so that I can reduce Entocort. I'm very fortunate that occasional mouth sores and frequent BMs/D are my only symptoms. I don't have any pain, so I can probably live with my symptoms the rest of my life. I would like to eat a more varied diet, however. Maybe the Imodium will allow me to expand it.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
