Paging Polly.....

Post by Joefnh »

Polly just the other day you asked for some photos of Nestle and from springtime in New England, to that end I have put together a set of photos from last October forward until this weekend

As an update health wise, I am doing well, this has been the year of repairs of the damage of years of untreated MC (CC) and Crohns. The issues I have dealt with have been a small bowel resection in the jejunum due to strictures and fistuals and a large bowel resection 5 months later due to significant diverticula, and lastly getting the upper part of my jaw reconstructed due to sugnificant bone loss from years of low absorption of vitamin D and calcium.

What's great is I feel that I'm finally caught up with the repairs of years of undiagnosed GI issues. I do want to say thanks to everyone here for all of your support, with a special thanks to Gabes, Polly and Tex....next stop hopefully Oz.

So Polly to answer your request, here are a series of photos from the last several months, some of these may be repeats but they are good ones.

For those of you wondering why photos of Nestlé? Basically when you have an empty house, a friend like Nestlé is a wonderful thing especially when you are not feeling well.

Starting from last October here is Nestlé in her halloween costume...

Moving forward, I spent Christmas in Maine and enjoyed a quiet time. I have never photographed the beach during the winter and found these images to be unique and they came out pretty good. Most of us don't associate snow with a nice sandy beach.

Just a handful of weeks ago Gabes sent Nestlé a great treat of denta sticks made from all natural ingredients and a new stylish collar....Gabes I can say Nestlé has thoroughly enjoyed these and loves the stylish new accessories..she said something about me having no sense of style and was thankful you stepped in !!

Now just 16 days ago we had what I would consider a normal winter storm and as you will see in just a bit, today was almost summertime....certainly some strange weather this year.

This is my backyard basically just 2 weeks ago

Image

Nestle certainly enjoyed the snow and loves just playing in it.

Image

One of the funniest things to watch is when you throw a snowball for her to fetch in the snow, she will spend 5 or so minutes trying to find a snowball in the deep snow...

Image

Now just 2 weeks later the snow is gone and the weather was 80 degrees today (+26C) and I was able to get some great photos of the Senter waterfalls just about a 20 minute drive from here.

Well that's it for now. I hope you enjoyed the photos....thanks again for all of your support.

Joe,
Don't know how much of a winter-lover you may be, but this winter-that-wasn't in New England was the answer to my prayers, especially after all the snow
we endured last year. I enjoyed your photos!

Hi Joe,

So glad you're "coming out of the woods" with your various health "repairs". It sounds like you're in a good place now and ready to move forward. Best of luck to you on your continuing journey back to radiant health!!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pictures - especially those of your sweet "Nurse". Thank you so much for posting them - they put a big smile on my face.

Love,
Kari

Joe - my name isn't Polly, but I SO appreciated those magnificent pics. You are an artist, my friend! That picture of the beach had me breathless for a long time.

And Nestle looks wonderful! I am waiting for some info on financial stuff to see if I can afford a dog. I really want one - a little one for my little apartment. One of these days I will be able to.

Oh Joe!

How perfect - all of them! I love Nestle in the wind-driven snow. And the waterfalls are incredible! As is the beach. Thank you so much for accommodating my request - these have made my day!

And so happy to hear about all that is behind you now. It has been an awfully tough year for you healthwise. I definitely think what you need now is a trip to Oz......doctor's orders!

Hugs,

Polly

Dear Joe,

Thanks for posting the pictures. They are great. I love the one of Nestle in the snow and wind--you should frame that one!

I've never seen the beach in winter, since my beach-going experience has been in the tropics and NJ in the summer, and it was interesting to see it with snow. A whole different thing than the beach in the heat, huh?

I hope that your health continues to improve, and that you get to move to Oz soon.

Love,
Martha

Joe,
Thank you for posting the beautiful pictures. Your photos are aways so serene - they seem to reflect your outlook on life. You've been through a great deal in the past year, yet you have handled each crisis with a positive outlook. I hope your trip to Oz is a restful one (after the flights, that is).

Love the pictures Joe! Nestle is adorable. Funny how when we feel so bad our dogs just know what to do to make us smile!

Take care,

Like I said before. Ansel Adams, Jr. Nice work, Joe. Reminds me of the work of a client in Montana. Google Sandy Owens photography.
