Progress on diet alone

Post by Christine. »

Thanks to all of you who replied to my first post a couple of weeks ago. I really appreciate the connection to you all. just an update on my condition...My Enterolab report showed I was solidly intolerant to gluten, soy, dairy and eggs so I've been free of them for 2 weeks. (I had a head start on gluten and dairy). Guess what! I'm down to once a day and it's 90% Norman. Unless I o.d. on raw veggies the tummy rumblings and gas are better. now I hold my breath and wait. Hopefully there is not another bump in the road.

Leah, I promised to give you a review of the coconut substitute for soy sauce. I ordered it from a place called Lucky Vitamins online. It doesn't smell quite like soy sauce, it isn't quite as salty and it has a slight bitter aftertaste. But, on a plate of rice and cooked veggies I think it will be fine. I plan to go to the local Flame Broiler, order a chicken rice and veggie bowl (no sauce) and take my own "soy" sauce.

Thanks again for all of your words of advice and wisdom.

Hi Chris. What a great result! It's too bad that you are so solidly intolerant to egg and soy also, but just the fact that after two weeks, you are almost there is great! I am still waiting for my Enterolab test results, but I'll let you know. Thanks for the review on the "soy"sauce. What is it called again? Once I find out for sure if I can have soy or not, I will look into it if needed. It would probably work well in a marinade for steak ( like flank).

Take Care

The company is Coconut Secret. The product is Coconut Aminos soy free sauce.

Leslie, I know compared to you I am fortunate. I need to focus on the good things I can have and forget tuna melts and cheesecake.

Hope you find a comfort zone soon where you can enjoy life a little. I do think you need a little dog. My two king charles spaniels keep me busy, exercised and happy.
