:shock: You have to have a certain gene to have frequent diarrhea? I'm guessing that gene is triggered for most people whenever the genes that predispose to microscopic colitis, Crohn's diasease, ulcerative colitis, or celiac disease are triggered.

If there were such a disease as IBS, that gene would also be triggered whenever the gene that predisposes to the diarrhea-predominant version of IBS is triggered, also. :lol:

If everyone in a family has the same problem, then it is probably genetic. They need to test their hypothesis using people who are not of the same family.

I'm glad so many more of these studies are being done. Thanks for the link, Zizzle.
