The minute I stop the D with imodium it goes the other way. Now I am going to have to fight to have a BM

Yep, I have that problem too, though my MC is D-predominant. I got my diagnosis b/c I wasn't able to take the Imodium the Dr thought was the easy answer to my constant D. I'd take the Imodium, have dreadful C (with cramping, bloating, and gas) for about 3 days, then go right back to watery D. :-(

I know the cycle, though mine is C dominated. I haven't had a BM since that horrible day, and I feel like I am about to burst. I am taking every laxative I can. Nothing is knocking it out.
One imodium - that's all I took!

I've had better luck with Lomotil - it seemed less harsh somehow. It doesn't make me bloat, and it allows enough through to keep the gas pains and cramping a bit better. Th Dr has to prescribe it, though - it's not available over the counter.

Right now I am not asking the doc for anything. On Friday he's doing an upper endoscopy on me, and I want to get the results of that before I make any other requests.

I so need a BM!
