Eye Exams

Post by DebE13 »

I have always just seen an optometrist for my eye care needs. Last fall, my GI sent me to an opthamologist for testing because of my complaints about eye pain, burning, etc. My yearly eye exam is due and I was planning to skip it since I just got new glasses a year ago and my September visit showed no problems. I've been off prednisone since February and now taking entocort- should I being keeping my annual exam? And which type of doctor would I be better off seeing? I always thought 2 years was the norm for eye exams. I can't wear my contacts much because of the problems I have so I don't see the point in paying for the annual exam unless the RX drugs warrant more careful examinations.
