Interesting post regarding how a person beat crohn's. What caught my eye, some of which I've posted, is info regarding the sun vs. vitamin D, and krill oil vs. fish oil.

b).. Vitamin D-3 and/or Sun exposure AT HIGH NOON—Boosts immune system and is especially good for Lupus. About 80% of the population is Vitamin D deficient—especially if you are black—live up north, use sunscreen or believe all the EVIL and, frankly, LYING Dermatologists who tell you to "avoid the sun," especially the noon day sun, and that the "daily recommendation of 400 iu of D-3 is adequate."

Horsepucky, you should start at 3 to 4 thousand units, not 400. You should not; however, take over about 4,000 iu without being tested, and even 4000 iu might be too much for a very small portion of the population. You see, some folks need 10,000 iu—or more—BUT you should never take that much without being tested because you could be taking way too much. It would appear that the average person needs about 8,000 iu of D-3 ...but don't take 8,000 w/o being tested! Take the correct test...25 (OH) D... not the other one. The point is that you are likely D-3 deficient just standing there looking at me...

We need to examine this in detail because it's important!

CONNECTING THE DOTS for "In the Tank" Dermatologists regarding Vitamin D-3 & the Sun:
.
Vitamin D-3 is the #1 protection against 16 types of cancer, to include skin Cancer...
.
Short-wavelength UVB starts the Vit. D-3 process after it hits your skin (as opposed to Long-wavelength UVA which can "trigger" Cancer)...
.
Short-wavelength UVB (because it's Short) can only penetrate the atmosphere at around noon to make D-3, depending on time of year and your latitude; however, to manufacture D-3 in this manner, your shadow must be shorter than your height...
.
Ironically, Cancer-triggering UVA, being a Long-wavelength, penetrates the atmosphere just as easily at 8:00 AM as it does at noon! It is not overly concerned with season or latitude! The strength of UVA remains constant and potentially harmful all day...
.
Long-wavelength UVA not only penetrates the atmosphere, it penetrates glass, clouds <AND> it also penetrates your skin right down to the 3rd layer (the Dermas)! This can trigger Cancer!
.
Short-wavelength UVB CANNOT penetrate glass, clouds, pollution or very much atmosphere <AND> it also cannot penetrate very much skin—so even though UVB feels HOT and if you let it, it can burn you, it is not real harmful like the deep penetrating UVA... as long as you DON'T burn. Note—I find it disturbing that there are a thousand different "Experts" on the Web who will tell you that it is the "UVB" causing cancer. That is not correct! It is the "all day" UVA!

CONCLUSION—the pleasant 8 AM sunlight can "trigger" cancer, while the hot "oppressive" noon day sun PROTECTS you from cancer... iow, wise up, don't be an uninformed and so a useful Bone-Head! Don't be useful to those OK with you being sick because that's where their profit margins are! These are margins prosecuted as long as they have the artificial and unnatural substances—sold at monstrous profits—to manage those discomforts et sig al! Cleverly masked, then, the original and profit making disease continues profitably on.

FYI : The UVA "Triggers" Cancer, it DOES NOT "Cause" Cancer...."YOU" cause the Cancer (with the help of BB's) by (1) avoiding the beneficial noon day sun, (2) eating processed, free-radical causing, toxic garbage-foods, (3) not eating raw, antioxidant-rich foods, (4) using toxic sunscreen, and (5) breathing in the toxic steamy mist when you open your dish washer... plus a hundred other similarly uninformed things you do daily to poison yourself.

FYI : Don't wash with soap those areas where the sun has hit because the natural oils and fatty-acids in the skin are an integral part of the D-3 process! Soap strips the protective oils protecting your skin and helping make the D-3...which is, by the way, made from CHOLESTEROL. Only use soap where the sun doesn't shine.

WARNING : D-3 from the Sun and D-3 from Supplements are NOT the same. Also NEVER use D-2 (the crap in most milk)...ah, so don't drink milk.

Differences :
.
1).. You Cannot OD (Overdose) on D-3 with the Sun... you can OD with supplements, especially if it is D-2.
.
2).. D-3 from the Sun is better absorbed because it is Water-Soluble and Fat-Soluble... supplements are Fat-Soluble only.
.
3).. The Sun creates D-3 "Sulfate" which makes it Water-Soluble and able to move freely through the blood; however, the Unsulfated supplement form of D-3 must catch a ride with the "Bad" Cholesterol (LDL), so it's Fat-Soluble only.
.
4).. The Sun also creates the very critical Heart healthy substance, called Cholesterol-Sulfate, not found in Supplemental D-3. Cholesterol-Sulfate deficiency causes high LDL (heart disease), Obesity, and Diabetes.
.
So you see... D-3 from the Sun is far, FAR superior. It is not hard to imagine, therefore, that 80% of the folks are D-3 deficient? No, not hard to imagine at all where the criminal-Dermatologist advices people to avoid all sun, use toxic sunscreen and take a Centrum Multi with 400 iu of inferior Vitamin D... the preceding when we need more like THREE or FOUR THOUSAND iu... with as much "good" Sun as possible so, if necessary, the Sun can "round-out" that 4,000 to 8,000 iu or 10,000 iu, SAFELY.

...OR, if you live where you get a lot of sun and you diligently try to get out in the sun every day at noon for 10 or 15 minutes with as little clothing as possible then you don't really need to take any D-3 supplement! Remember—your shadow must be shorter than your height! Also, if you're black I would shoot for 30 to 40 minutes, eh? This is a foundation for good intelligence on the Sun and D-3. We'll move on.

c).. Krill Oil (or Fish Oil as a second choice)—Likely Mother-Nature's most powerful, multi-purposeful, anti-inflammatory nutrient. Krill Oil contains a powerful antioxidant not found in fish oil, Astaxanthin, which virtually eliminates any oxidation of the very sensitive Omega-3 Fats! The amount of oxidation (rancidity) can be a problem with many fish oils and it's not just the cheap ones.

Astaxanthin—is the "new" very hot item that has all the top holistic types very excited! It has Fat-Soluble antioxidant properties which pump up the immune system unlike any other antioxidant, either Fat-Soluble or Water-Soluble.

Also because the Omega-3's in Krill are bound to Phospholipids (not Triglycerides like fish) the Omega-3's are about 15 times better absorbed! This is even a much bigger deal, actually, than the "15 times better" would indicate.

d).. lactoferrin—Powerful immune booster and much, MUCH more... actually this is likely the most powerful immune enhancing substance on the planet... especially good for gut disease inflammation like Crohn's.

e).. Maitake, Shiitake & Reishi—Medicinal Mushrooms that contain various forms of Beta Glucan which fight cancer and much MORE. Comes in supplement form or eat the 'shrooms.

f).. Green Tea and/or Tulsi tea—Stimulates the immune system & has powerful water-soluble antioxidants....never put milk in tea, it binds to the antioxidants.

...OR Tulsi Tea (it's actually Holy Basil) is a Hi-antioxidant tea similar to green tea but I think even better because it has no caffeine and has a calming, mood enhancing effect... ...1.2 billion Indians are likely on to something, eh?

g).. Turmeric (the yellow stuff in curry, yeah...the Indians again)—Not only boosts the Immune System but helps everything from blood clots to joint pain, so it would likely be easier to list the aliments it doesn't help. They even make a Fermented Turmeric that I really like.

h).. L-Glutamine—dramatically effects EVERYTHING that happens in your body because within hours it can increase the length and plumpness of the Intestinal-Villi (little hair-like structures) in the gut! This, of course, increases absorption of nutrients, while protecting you from toxins. Get the pure powder form and take a really BIG dose every day on an empty stomach... it's dirt cheap.
