Gosh, it's been forever since I have posted.....life has quickly spiraled out of control and before I knew it it's been a few years since I have checked in. I see some familiar faces along with a ton of new folks -- welcome! Sorry to hear you are suffering with MC, but believe me, you have found the BEST place in the world to find help!
I was a total mess when I first received my diagnosis in 2008, but believe me, it's NOT the end.....there is healing and relief out there, and starting here is the best thing you can do for your health.
I'm doing well, my CC is very well under control (as long as I watch my stress) and of course, honor my dietary sensitivities. I'm still taking Entocort, but have been able to wean down to 3mg/day with hope of eventually getting completely off of it.
I'm still running & have 4 marathons under my belt now, and have also gone back to school to become a certified personal trainer. Within the past year I have changed jobs and opened my own business -- very scary, and not lucrative yet, but confident once I get settled in things will turn around.
I'm sharing all this not to toot my own horn (hope it didn't sound that way, not my intent!!) I just wanted all the folks who are newly diagnosed and fearful about their future to know that it DOES get better....much better. When I was first diagnosed I was very very sick and never thought my life would be normal again. It's so much better now, so keep the faith and take good care of yourself!
You are worth it!
Best of health!
Jill
