I have several repeat customers who book 2 to 4 weeks every year, the house is a 4 bedroom and sleeps 8 comfortably.

Reid State park is only 0.5 miles from the house and very close to most of the B&B's, Nestle and I walk there most mornings.



The other attraction is Booth Bay, which is incredible and has lots of shopping and various boat tours, whale watches, ocean kayaking etc...

Of course you cant drive more than a mile or so and not pass a stand selling fresh lobsters and homemade ice cream

I'm a previous New Englander (southern CT and Providence College). I spoke "normal" english . CT and MA students always debated the language in college. DH and I used to take frequent Maine vacations. My fisher-woman aunt once lived in Kittery too (she's now in South County, RI). Took the kids to Bar Harbour a few years ago and spent most of the time at lobster pounds stuffing our faces! Work sent me to Lubec, Maine once for a site visit. Gorgeous drive from Bangor.

Thanks for the information Joe. Considering Maine for 2013 but since it is our 20th anniversary then and we were married at the Outer Banks it will probably be vacation there. The home really fits the bill though.

Wow - this thread brings back lots of memories of Maine vacations - love your house Joe. When I lived in NYC, we frequently vacationed in Maine. We camped on a little island called "Hermit Island". It is located on the southern tip of the Phippsburgh Peninsula, south of Bath. We had to get on the phone the first business day of the year to reserve our favorite ocean front campsite :). We went clam digging on the island and took them back to our campsite to steam them - yum. We also boiled lobster at the campsite. However, my favorite was "lobster rolls" - I could easily eat them 3 times a day!!!
