after Anthony spent 6 -7 months focusing on chiro based toxic inflammation removal, posture, walking, exercises to strengthen his body, wearing the right shoes, etc etc the last stage of getting his wiggle back was..... digestion and eating via Dr Gringeri
Anthony had spent many flights between Australian and the USA 'stuck' in the aeroplane toilet due to D.
reading these chapters was like listening to Tex and other MC wise ones in this group. There was nothing new, or any major revelations, no fad diets, or guaranteed eating plans that would work ie paleo or BRAT or anything else
it was as simple as ;
- we are all different
- inflammation is a toxin
- long term inflammation causes damage all over the body, every cell, every organ
- unhealthy toxic digestion systems are the starting point
- the toxic digestion causes immune reactions auto immune conditions are linked to toxic inflammation
how to solve it
- keep a journal and track all your reactions including day to day events physical activity, events that cause stress and cause a reaction
- figure out what foods work for you and what foods dont
- figure out the best time to exercise, or what times to that suit you (as much as possible)
- it takes time to remove the toxicity, remove the inflammation, let the gut heal and get healthy digestion working
meal times
- chew your food
- smaller food particles are easier to process and they will be coated with aliva which starts digestion
- eat organic food as often as possible
- avoid eating white flour and white sugar and refined foods - white flour and white gugar have a druglike effect on the body's digestive process
- your body needs fat - take a fatty acid supplement
Since i wrote the first post about the book, both the treating doctors mentioned in the book have joined this forum. I think we can feel enthused that there are some medical professionals that 'get it' about dodgy digestion, inflammation, the damage it does and how it can take over your whole body. Dr Gringeri who is chiropractic neurology is also a certified digestive specialist, He helps people with all sorts of conditions - the commonality is the symptoms (fatigue, foggy brain, poor digestion, incontinence, joint aches), are all caused by inflammation and toxicity.
IMO the reality is that, while ever there is no 'magic potion' to treat this, it will not get mainstream medical acknowledgement, (because? - big pharma cant make a buck from it)
The great thing about this book is that you don't have to see these doctors to achieve the same result. Tthere are diagrams, pictures about treatment, exercises, shoes, walking all sorts of things that can help you get your wiggle back! (On amazon $16 new $9 used)
All the success stories and good advice of this forum will help you with your digestion, it doesn't take a heap of money or a doctor who is based 1000 miles away.
For those having a hard time explaining things or gaining support from family, work colleagues etc - give them or loan them this book. it will explain alot, a celebrity who has endured the same thing will maybe give what you are going through some creditability, and some support as you embrace your MC Management plan
I have been seeing a chiropractor (kinesiology based) for a couple of months, i am getting core strength back, good posture again, a return of energy and focus. 6 months ago i was reliant on taking H1 and H2 blockers every day. I havent taken any at all for 3 weeks or more. (the money i used to spend on H1 H2 blockers pays about 30% of the cost of the treatments)
Along with this i have been doing kinesiology sessions to clean out my mind (and soul) our body is totally connected, what we think, what we feel, what we believe, what we doubt, scars of the past, all impact on our health, wellbeing, focus.
it hasnt been easy, both treatments involve the removal of alot of toxins (which means lots of weeing and pooping) i have had nights after the treatments where i do about 10 BM's, or had killer headaches but within 24-36 hrs post the treatment this stops and i feel great.
i had to give up trips to see friends, doing photography, to spend saturdays at the house while the toxins are expelled, as it was quite tiring. (thank goodness i have quite a few books in my to be read queue)
We are only about a quarter of the way through the process, considering i had inflamed digestion for most of my life, birth defects to my bowel, fixing 40 years of toxic inflammation was never going to easy, so i am chuffed with the progress to date.
I acknowledge that I am lucky, living alone with no immediate family it has been easy for me to spend my time and money doing this, focussing on me, eating what and when suits me best.
I have mentioned before that prior to Dx and after Dx i was seeing an acupuncturist and most of my treatments were, reducing inflammation, supporting the immune system (so it had less reactions) supporting the digestion organs (liver spleen) that were under stress from the leaky gut - i think these treatments with my low inflammation eating plan were a huge part of my MC in remission success in under 2 years.
Just because the MC was in remission doesn't mean it is all sunshine and lollypops! (or I will start eating gluten and dairy again) The years of inflammation has left its toxins everywhere, thyroid, adrenals, dental and while i am treating those issues, the removal of the toxins is reliant on my digestion so i am nurturing my digestion so it can handle what we are doing.
Listen to you body, it may be like learning a new language some days......... not only can you get your life back, it can have a happy dance wiggle to it!!
