just thought I would give an update, maybe if only to give others a bit of encouragement, went GF nearly 2 months ago on the 28th May, I know its early days and I have had some bumps along the way but thankfully just a few, Im lucky to be able to have dairy it dosent seem to cause me any problems so just avoiding gluten, it must be very hard for those who are celiac as well, I did have a reaction the day after I had cheese but have since ate it and had no probs, so there are plenty of foods you can eat if you are only allergic to gluten, I started last week to eat some things I hadn't eaten for a while, cabbage gave me D as did prawns, so now I am finding the foods that I use to eat that have no gluten in and are causing me a problem, my OH said he would,nt have the patience to try to work out all these food issues but I said if he had this condition then to do this and to feel well its no problem, I fill my journal in daily as Joe suggested which I find is very helpful, so now Im concentrating on introducing GF foods I haven't ate for a while and if I get a reaction I will eliminate them, it is hard work but hopefully worth it in the end.
Saw GI Tuesday for a check up regarding the hemerroid banding I had in March, he asked how I was coping with the LC told him I had gone GF and feel so well no D or C so far,
keep well and take care
