lamb burgers

Post by Leah »

I am always thinking of new things to cook for dinner. I love lamb, but really can't afford chops for the family. I was browsing the butcher's case when it struck me.... ground lamb! Oh my Gosh, these burgers were delicious. I sauted some chopped shallots and then added chopped garlic for a minute before removing from the stove. Then I added that to the meat along with cumin, cardamon, oregano, dijon, and salt and pepper. Mint is another herb that would be good to add. So good!

Leah,

Lamb burgers are one of my staple foods. I just cook mine plain, slowly on top of the stove. They taste really good but yours sound great. Maybe I should become more adventuresome with my cooking.

Yes, lamb burgers seasoned with Greek or middle eastern seasonings is one of my favs. Too bad my husband hates lamb. I rarely buy it! Beware of grilling it. Lamb is so fatty it always starts a huge fire in our grill!
