Congratulations Tex! I owe you and everyone else on this forum a boat load of gratitude for all the information and support. I believe I am officially off Budesonide! Yay. Couldn't have done it without you. Once I get my nutritionist certification, I hope to help many more people who are suffering from IBS and IBDs and then I can recemmend your book! Hope you sell lots of them :)

I wonder how it got to Barnes and Noble (especially so quickly). Apparently Kindle must have an agreement with them, because I don't have any agreement with any of the major booksellers except Amazon (and Kindle). But as Martha Stewart would say, "That's a good thing".

Congratulations on successfully phasing out budesonide. That's quite an accomplishment, also.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Tex - how can anyone be disappointed???
We each have our own story and circumstances that brought us to this site. When I was diagnosed with LC in June, 2010, it didn't take more than a few months to realize that the GI specialist, my PCP, or anyone could do more for me than give a diagnosis. I was left feeling confused, depressed, angry, confined to my home, having no control of my body, and no place to find answers. I (almost) lost all hope. THEN.... found the PP here and am finding out I can "get my life back"! It definitely takes patience, diligence and a lot of hard work, but it can be done.
I am so grateful that you have been compelled to make it one of your life's missions to become an advocate for all with MC.
I (like so many others) am so proud of you!!! Thank you.

IMO, the good stuff starts about chapter 6. The first 5 chapters are mostly a review of the current state of the disease and treatments, as generally accepted by the medical community (though I do point out exceptions and issues in some of those chapters). After that I begin to discuss information and theories that are not generally a part of the mainstream understanding of the disease. IOW, there are 5 chapters of background information followed by 11 chapters that contain "new" or overlooked concepts and theories.

I'll see if I can pull it off. It appears that getting a book accepted there is more complicated. (They suggest hiring one of their recommended independent contractors to do the conversion). Being a do-it-yourselfer, I'm not inclined to hire someone to do that, so I'll have to learn how to go about it.
