I took Peggy to the hospital yesterday so she could get her neck checked and the Dr. says she's healing nicely and is able to be without the cervical collar except if she's in a situation, like riding in a vehicle, where she might be subject to rough bumps or jerks, etc. She had it off when she came out of the hospital and I was a wreck by the time we got her home trying not to hit any bumps or have to brake quickly. Needless to say, I did have to brake quickly a couple of times (Murphy's Law) because I wasn't paying enough attention to the light changes (I think I was trying too hard). Anyway, I managed to get her home without damaging her and she was tired and so was I. My Sister came with us and we had a nice lunch out (a big event for Peg, considering the past 4 1/2 weeks), but we were all really funny because none of us had a good sleep the night before. We were going to play scrabble, but were too tired and I wanted to get home before rush hour started.
On Tuesday, I'll be taking her back to the hospital for her wrist and she hopes to lose the cast and start to work on getting back in shape.
Her goal is to be back to work by Oct. 31.
Anyway, that's all the news for now - I'm SO happy she's recovering well. This could have been much worse and the dr. even said she managed to break her neck in the best way possible - I guess that's a good thing, although any broken neck isn't a fun thing.
Talk to you all later - off to the Ortho this morning to get a report on my left knee and taking x-rays in to him.
Love - Momster (and Pegster, of course
