A word to the wise. "Push past the pain"

Post by Camie »

I was a labor and delivery room nurse for some fifteen years before I had my own brood of kids.
Just a thought. Sometimes you would help a client push and push and push. They were exhausted from pushing, I was exhausted from coaching. I would tell them push past the pain...........there is an end in site.

Now it is time to take my own advice. It can be the pain of the side effects of meds. It can be the pain of dietary restrictions. It can be the pain of changing old habits.

I am pushing past the pain............I know there is an end in site. It just takes time

I love your attitude! Thanks! What an awesome job you had. My friend who just became an RN has always expressed to me how she wants to work with labor and delivery. It must be very fulfilling and definitely never a boring job.

Was thinking of you this morning. Hope today is a better day for you. It's a cloudy, cool day here in Houston. I need the sun to come out....don't like the clouds as they depress me. Sun should come out later. Making a trip to the grocery store to buy stuff for some homemade soup. A cool weekend calls for some soothing soup.

Thinking of you,

You are right Camie. It's important to look down the road with this disease and battle back, rather than get stuck in despair. It is often 2 steps forward, 1 back... but eventually we get ahead.

thanks for the uplifting thought today.
