oldies have lunch

Kathy (Hazel) and I had our yearly birthday lunch at Panera today. We had a good time catching up, cut short by Alice's laryngitis. But we're going to try again in the spring! Alice, who is strictly gf, had a bowl of black bean soup with an apple. Could have had a salad, but it was definitely a soup kind of day.
They don't make the bread there, so I don't have to worry about flour particles wafting through the air

Kathy had cheese and broccoli soup - yummy, she said. Not gf for those of you who may wonder.

I would have never dreamed in a million years that gluten free patrons could patronize Panera's. I've totally stayed away rom mine because I figured everything they have would be full of gluten. That is nice to know Alice.............thanks.......I've missed that place but I will admit mostly because of their yummy bagels. I'll try some soup!!!

The one I go to has a binder full of ingredients for everything they serve. They are very nice about letting me look at it before ordering. A couple times I've forgotten to say "no croutons" in my soup, but they have always just poured me a new bowl and didn't seem to mind. Very accommodating! I hope you have good luck.
