I haven't seen you around for a while now...Are you better? You were going through a lot at the same time I did...well, my issue is settled. It wasn't any of the foods I was eating, it was mast cells. Elavil solved that 24 hours after I stated taking it. Eliminating all those foods didn't help a bit. I stopped elavil recently because I was hungry all the time and sleepy all the time. I am now taking an anti-histamine and I am doing fine with it. No more entecort, elavil and I am about to eliminate my last mesalamine.
I hope you're doing well...
Love,
Monique

Monique sorry for the belated birthday...certainly though Happy birthday and the best of wishes for the coming year! Thanks so much for all of your posts, they are so encouraging to read.
Hello Monique, I'm just getting over some oral surgery and I was looking at after this and a couple of other health issues have settled down. My answer is basically ASAP....I certainly could use a trip, at this point more for holiday than moving logistics ....there a few better places in the world to rest the body and mind.
Sorry about your troubles...hope you feel better soon. I haven't felt confidant enough to travel this last year. Waiting to see if the monster we live with doesn't raise its ugly head before I undertake a long trip ;-)

Hi Monique...not really troubles...I'm viewing as my midlife tuneup LOL
Traveling with MC long distance can be tough, but is doable. Trips down under took planning, a backpack of foods for the transit and some help from the local tribe members.... a.k.a Gabes. I found it almost imperative to find accommodations with a kitchen, fortunately down under those are more common than in most places, most of the non-USA based hotel chains have a kitchen of some sort.
Love your attitude! If you don't mind I am going borrow that line of yours that I am going through mid-life tune-up. A tune-up! That's a great way to look at it instead of thinking that you're falling apart at the seams :-) but you're just revving up your engine.
When I travel I stay with family so it's not an issue accommodating MC. I haven't tried it yet but I know it won't be difficult except for the eating out which scares me.
Take care,
Monique

Monique one lesson that this time in life has taught me is it is all about attitude.
Anther fun line I use for when people ask what's up with all of the health issues....
"Nothings wrong....I'm just working on getting my medical degree one disease at a time"
...More of my humorous attitude, it does help
Yeah eating out can be the tough one, that's one of the things I loved in Oz, is that the restaurants were very aware of food intolerances and took the subject seriously. I find that by ordering very simple plain dishes is the safest, no sauces or even spices sometimes and then at the table add a bit of salt and pepper if you need to, I also made up a version of a chefs card that works pretty well, I know Ant and Gabes had several postings about this topic.
