with Leah. If your doctor said that ("She said celiac patients are IgA deficient and if I'm not then I am not deficient."), she's really confused. First, only about 1 in 300 celiacs are IgA deficient (like the rest of the general population), and second, even if they were, that would be totally irrelevant in your case, because while the celiac screening tests can diagnose celiac disease, they absolutely cannot reliably rule it out, so the test would be worthless for any claims about selective IgA deficiency.

She apparently either has a vivid imagination, or she slept through her classes whenever the immune system was being discussed.
