Hello Buddies!

Well, I've done more today than I've done in ages. Got some laundry done (first time since my fall), did a number of small chores, and now am going for a walk. The sun is shining, my pain isn't too bad, and I need some things from the store.

I'm not supposed to do any exercises for at least a week because the pain was so intense after my first round of physio on the spine last week. So what else can I do but go for a leisurely walk?

Cloudy, snowy, wet and LAZY day here. Only managed a trip to the store and library. Think I'll put a log on the fire and do some reading.

Glad you've had a good day Peg. It feels good to be productive, at least once in awhile. You have had to put off so many things for a long time.

I bet the fresh air was good for ya Peggy. I have been so busy at work, I have ignored my health. Today was the last day of the trimester and final exams start on Monday. I'm not giving an exam, but still need to proctor one on Wednesday AND have a mountain of projects to grade.

Joanna...I am so jealous that you have snow already...I want some. I can't even have a fire in my fireplace. There is a stagnant air warning....lots of fog, and no wind or rain. They are discouraging people from burning unless it is their only source of heat....sigh.

What have the temperatures been like there lately? I understand it's rather mild for that latitude, but then I've only been in VC in August -- no where's mild in August, at least not enough for me. I still need to find a nice glacier for Sally and I to spend the summers!
There's one up by Blackhawk Mt. Wanna join us? Ha! Betcha didn't know I'd been to Blackhawk Mt. now did ya?

It was sunny, dry, and about 10 (that's 50 degrees US) yesterday. We commonly have a lot of rain this time of year so we enjoy the dry stuff when we can :cool: I'd love to join you for Blackhawk - just let me know when!

Don't worry...I am getting better and better (and "old"er and older). I'm following the doctor's and the the therapist's orders and am looking forward to pain-free sleeps and days in the near future. It's a long, slow road, but I'll get there.

Going to do my nails today. I wasn't able to with the cast on so it is a real pleasure. It's Ronny's birthday and I'm taking him out for a nice dinner tonight. Other than that, that is my whole Saturday...well except for the NYT puzzle that I plan to enjoy while my nails are drying.

Do they still pack up the whole VC Symphony for a performance/s way up on the mountain?
That was one of the neatest ideas I've ever had! I think at the time I did that, there was only one performance, but later, heard that they'd had to have more performances due to the popularity of this event.

Think we used every form of transportation that we could, other than air transportation, while in the city. It reminded me of home in some ways, probably due to so many contemporary buildings.

Hope you're not thinking of skiing anytime soon. MOMSTER, we got a problem!

I don't know about the symphony and Blackhawk mountain...I haven't ever been there - YET!

Don't worry, I won't be skiing anytime soon, Jill will be, though. In fact I can't do anything that "jostles" me. I expect to be doing the Pogo by January, though :banana:
