As some of you know I'm recently dealing with a form of muscular dystrophy called myasthenia gravis. This week I'm at the hospital to recieve infusions of IVIG and a lite form of chemo. In preparation for this i had a central line put in called a PICC line, which is great if you have to get lots of IVs, basically it's a direct IV that's a tube that's threaded through the large veins in your upper arm just under your bicep all the way to just outside the top of your heart. As crazy as it sounds it's a lot better than multiple IV starts per day.
I don't want to go into the details, but I do have to point out a new treatment for MD, MC and who knows what else. This incredible treatment supplied by our Aussie friends, it's an actual 'cure' of sorts... See photo below.
The side effects....a smile, happy taste buds and of course a satisfied sweet tooth.
So which Aussie board member has discovered this miracle cure?

Thanks Monique and Corey, the treatments are starting to work and we are sorting out the med types and dosages.
I think I've got the depression issue under control, that was a tough one to deal with, I had no idea how paralysing depression can be. I started with Zoloft but as has been experienced by some here, it flared up the GI symptoms. After I switched to Wellbutrin I felt a lot better.
Nancy yep the Aussies know how to make medicines :-). The infusion center is actually 2 floors almost directly below Dr Nagri. I was just talking with Cindy today about some bloodwork they were takng and needed to add Dr Nagris tests.
That was just a fun picture to take, although I have to protect those candies as the nurses there love them....they have to last 3 more days.
So far so good with this round of treatments, there is no sign of any problems as was seen the first time. This round I am not feeling near as sick each day, my body just did not like the previous brand.
Hi Joe, Glad to hear things are better this time around. When your sense of humor returns you know things are looking up. I'm thinking good thoughts and hope you continue to do well.
