Hi Joan,JLH wrote:and a 3+ hour brain surgery (at NYU) this afternoon to get the clot. Tonight her friend said Jill was awake and talking. Jill lost half her vision in both eyes. Doctor said she'd be able to read but not drive. Her vision may improve.
Tonight, I Googled "stroke" and "gluten" and was led right back here with this thread: http://www.perskyfarms.com/phpBB2/viewt ... sc&start=0
So sorry to hear about your sister. I hope her recovery goes well.

I haven't been on here as much as I used to be, and just read about your sister. Praying her recovery goes better than they expect..

I had meant for two threads about Jill, sorry
Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your good wishes.
Yes, Lesley, her surgery was the afternoon of her stroke (Friday). My brother hasn't said anything about meds.
I'll try to remember to ask.
He did say her drain and other lines were out except IV and probably pain meds.
What happens with the hole they drilled in her skull, Lesley? (I have no idea where it is.)
A doctor told my brother that her surgeon is in the top 5 of 21 at NYU Langone Hospital.
