Hi Babs,
I haven't tried LDN but have been doing research on it regarding its effect on TPO Antibodies for people with Hashimoto's disease. There is a lot of information on the web about it but I had been skeptical about until I came across a woman on a Hashi's forum who is enrolled in a clinical trial for this drug. I don't know of anyone here that is on it and it would be my guess that it would be pretty hard (although not impossible) to get a doc to prescribe it. The manufacturer of only manufactures it in higher doses so you would have to go to a compounding pharmacy to acquire it.

my doctor here is willing to try anything to help me and has no time to research so I bring the research to him. His wife (a dr as well) has already used LDN for a patient here in alberta Canada with success so he is willing to give me a prescription to which I then send to a compounding pharmacy in Toronto.

My problem is depression too and I am not sure what to take first LDN or wellbutrin.

Tex indicated that there hasn't been a lot of success here with it for MC yet those with UC have had great success. I have had hashi's for 16 years and just recently finally switched from synthroid to a dessicated natural thyroid and feel better for sure with that.

I also have developed what we believe is psoriasis of the tongue that comes and goes. Lately since adding yogurt back in it is back so something tells me no more yogurt UGH!

Am going to try cocoa butter for fat. anyone else tried it?
