Does the bone loss slow down or stop when the gut heals?
Thanks.

DJ,
Despite having stopped taking Fosamax over two years ago after my LC diagnosis, my latest bone density test indicated things are stable. I upped my vitamin D, and take calcium daily. My GYN wanted me to consider one if the newer drugs b/c he is concerned about my left hip, but we struck a bargain that as long as things remained stable, I could keep doing what I'm doing.

Bone loss should return to a normal (age-related) rate after the gut heals. (IOW, bone loss should be a minimal problem after the gut heals).

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
