Hi Linda,
Thanks for sharing. While I've not tried this product, I'm going to! I have been using Plant Head brand and while the taste is good, I get sick of the same flavor so am always searching. The protein level is not too bad either. I so wish I could get samples of these products before buying a tub. Let me know if you try it!

No Fiber? Their description says "By concentrating their seeds into a powder, you can enjoy a versatile and highly digestible, gluten, soy and dairy free source of vegetable protein that is a good source of dietary fiber"

My mom just brought me a tub of ground pumpkin seeds from Guatemala. It's used in lots of Guatemalan cooking, even in drinks. It is definitely high fiber, but I'm going to try to work it into my diet. Pumpkin seeds are full of zinc.

Zizzle,

Somehow they must strip the fiber from the seed (same as my hemp protein powder) ....but, I did send a note to their consumer support staff, and I will let you know what the reply is, when I hear from them.

Of course why couldn't I just put raw pumpkin seeds in my Vitamix and make a finely ground powder????

Yes, probably cheaper to make it yourself, and the oils will stay fresher. I took hemp protein for a while. It felt like 100% fiber. Very coarse.

Here is the reply from NNS regarding fiber in the powder:

Staff (Marian G)
5/29/2014 5:50:50 PM Hi Linda,

We apologize for the delayed response. According to our supplier, there are 3 grams of dietary fiber in a serving of the pumpkin seed powder. There has been a typo error in the labeling but we are glad to inform you that we have updated the labeling showing the correct nutri info.

You can see the updated info here: http://store.naturalnews.com/Pumpkin-Se ... p_455.html

Thank you and all the best in health.

Sincerely,
Natural News Store
Linda :)

From experience putting seeds into a vitamix doesn't result in a finely ground powder because of the oil in the seed. The result is more of a butter, unless you dehydrate it first.
