coconut wraps

Post by ldubois7 »

Here I am with food on my mind again! Look at this product:

http://thepurewraps.com/index.php/store

If I were to make coconut flour wraps (homemade) there would be so much fiber (from the coconut flour) in them I would be in the bathroom for many days! These have none.

Anyone try a product like this????

Linda,

This looks interesting......I love the minimal ingredients. I had been using Enjoy Life brown rice tortillas occasionally, but I think I react to something in them - the xanthan maybe? It looks like these are only available online at this point - I think I will order some and try them out. Good find!

One thing I have never been able to find - tortellini that is GF, DF, SF. I have found GF ones, but the fillings always seem to contain dairy. I can't find one that is just filled with mushrooms or butternut squash, for example. I will give a nickel to anyone who can find this product! LOL!

Love,

Polly

Polly,

Let me know what you think of the wraps. I can't eat any grains (just meat and cooked veggies right now), so to have something like this to wrap my turkey with a little avocado to take on a picnic in would be marvelous!

Linda-

I've tried the Paleo Wraps (www.julianbakery.com). They are thin like paper with a very coconutty flavor. I liked them okay but it turns out they give me a stomach ache. It was actually these wraps that helped me figure out I can't tolerate coconut.

I found them at my local natural foods store or you can buy them online. Julian Bakery makes several paleo foods.
