I wonder if it's time to try coffee again...whole bean organic, that is....

How does everyone out there do with coffee (I think Tex does well), and if you don't do well, do you think it may be the brand you were drinking?

I do ok with coffee!
pre mc Dx, i was a lactose free latte gal
post mc Dx, i am a half strength long black gal

I have used good quality beans for the past 14 years (no instant coffee at any stage!!)

to help the adrenal fatigue, i have just converted to half half - normal beans/decaf (all organic and non chemical decaf process)

I've never had any problem with coffee. I only drink organic whole bean, fresh ground by me.

I have no problems with coffee although I have limited myself to two cups a day. Any more than that now bothers my stomach. Silk chocolate almond milk is my creamer.

Does it matter if it's decaf or regular? I always drank regular before MC.

I drink one cup of home brewed Dunkin Donuts coffee. It doesn't seem to bother me.

Sometimes it's a little over-stimulating for me, so I try to limit to one or two cups in the am.

Since I quit alcohol, sometimes it have a cup of decaf in the evening and that's fine. I drink it with hemp milk, or black.

Love coffee, especially organic fresh ground.

I have to confess that in direct conflict with the article cited, I use only highly processed coffee, IOW, K-cups in a Keurig brewer. Furthermore, I occasionally use a Folgers product (expressly forbidden by the article). I find that Folgers Black Silk K-cups are not half-bad, and they're one of perhaps a half-dozen favorites of mine. Incidentally, also in conflict with the article, I find that Folgers Black Silk K-cups ain't cheap.

That said, I probably should point out that coffee was not an option back while I was reacting. Because of that, I waited until I had been in remission for 9 years before I tried it again. Maybe (again in direct conflict with the article) I lost my capacity for cross-reactivity at some point during those 9+ years.

I drink coffee every morning, 2-3 cups..."Master Chef"(walmart brand I think).
No problems, other than helping my morning BM along.

No problem here. I drink several cups of home-brewed Dunkin' Donuts coffee every AM - 1/2 reg. and 1/2 decaf beans.

I stopped coffee for about a year, then went with decaf (and low acid if I could find it). As I healed I've drifted back to caffeinated and limit to 2 cups per day. And I also use a Kuerig and K Cups (although sometimes I fill a re-usable K cup with a coffee of my choice). Coffee does not seem to bother me now, fortunately.

Carol,

It's been almost 2 years since I've had coffee, so I think I'll start with whole bean organic decaf, and see how it goes...it would be such a treat if it works.....it's the small things, right? :)

Can anyone suggest a brand of coffee that's natural decaf, organic, & whole bean? There is none in my local stores & too many to choose from online!

Thanks!
Linda :)

I get my beans here:

http://www.deansbeans.com/coffee/index.html

They are a local company. I can either get them at my coop or order online. Their prices are somewhat less than a lot of the organic fair trade coffees. I drink caffeinated coffees without any problem so haven't tried the decaf.
