I have no problems with coffee although I have limited myself to two cups a day. Any more than that now bothers my stomach. Silk chocolate almond milk is my creamer.

I have to confess that in direct conflict with the article cited, I use only highly processed coffee, IOW, K-cups in a Keurig brewer. Furthermore, I occasionally use a Folgers product (expressly forbidden by the article). I find that Folgers Black Silk K-cups are not half-bad, and they're one of perhaps a half-dozen favorites of mine. Incidentally, also in conflict with the article, I find that Folgers Black Silk K-cups ain't cheap.
That said, I probably should point out that coffee was not an option back while I was reacting. Because of that, I waited until I had been in remission for 9 years before I tried it again. Maybe (again in direct conflict with the article) I lost my capacity for cross-reactivity at some point during those 9+ years.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I stopped coffee for about a year, then went with decaf (and low acid if I could find it). As I healed I've drifted back to caffeinated and limit to 2 cups per day. And I also use a Kuerig and K Cups (although sometimes I fill a re-usable K cup with a coffee of my choice). Coffee does not seem to bother me now, fortunately.

It's been almost 2 years since I've had coffee, so I think I'll start with whole bean organic decaf, and see how it goes...it would be such a treat if it works.....it's the small things, right? :)

They are a local company. I can either get them at my coop or order online. Their prices are somewhat less than a lot of the organic fair trade coffees. I drink caffeinated coffees without any problem so haven't tried the decaf.
