Heady,
Sometimes, just taking vitamin B-12 can resolve such symptoms. Sublingual B-12 lozenges, designed to be dissolved under the tongue, where the active form of B-12 will go straight into the blood stream, are the best choice. I prefer a version that contains 1,000 mcg of the active form of B-12 (methylcobalamin) plus 400 mcg of folic acid, because adequate folic acid is necessary for the proper absorption of B-12. If that doesn't do the trick, you may need to consider a B vitamin mix such as Metanx (or the component equivalent, using the active forms of vitamins B-12, B-9, and B-6).
Chronic paresthesia of the extremities is definitely a peripheral neurpathy issue.

Thanks Tex. will ck out the health store this afternoon! Would be wonderful to get rid of the constant tingles. You really should have been an MD. At least...you should have an honorary med degree for all the knowledge you have amassed over the years. Not to mention your attention to detail, memory, and your never ending experience and dedication to improving the lives of MCers. Many of us would be lost in medication limbo without the brilliant minds on this site. Thanks again. Hugs Heather
