NEW YEARS--TIME SQUARE and Today

Yesssssss, I made it to see the ball come down---and then I thought I heard *fire-works* (which the warning was NO FIREWORKS)
I looked outta the window---but saw nothing and then Doug told me--*GUN-SHOTS is what U were hearing,mom*!!! :roll:

Appears that how them rootin-tottin guys celebrate---
They do that all time---specially where he is--in the desert~~~ :twisted:

Anyway---Noreen and I grew up with Dick Clark and American Bandstand :grin: --
I was so sad to see how affected he has been with this stroke, as the news was he was recouping *great* --
Dick Clark and Guy Lombardo were/ ARE New Year's EVE---yet as all things take a change I guess so has this--
All my years living in the city I never went to Times Square--but @ least if its cold and freezing---the *grouping* of peoples has to keep all *warm* :wink:

Today, Doug came out for dinner-----and we had a wonderful day with him--DIL still *sick* :roll:


Kait is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday---I pray all goes well---that she recoups and continues to live life~~~
She is not the least worried-- :smile:

Hi Barb. There were masses of people in Times Square weren't there? We had it on TV here, on the news. Fancy you living there & not going :roll: :roll:

All the best for Kait's surgery. Will be praying for her. Hope she has a better outcome this time. That poor girl has suffered enough.

Hey Liz-----yup---the place is always loaded----has to be Xciting to be there---crazy but fun :lol:

Liz---this was really a place I didnt want to be---
1. my parents would have killed me
2. I couldnt ever *sneak* away and go there :lol:
3. once married we went out and partied!!!!
4. TOO afraid to go there!!!

Whats ya time NOW!!!!

and thanks----I also am trusting the plate will go in---her head will look normal and all will be DONE and OVER with!!! FINALLY!!

Yes Barb. It is 12.16 now. Did not get back to you straight away. I am sewing & made a mistake, had to unpick. We call it 'reverse sewing' I hate that. Going to have lunch now. Will you be online for a while now?
