I rarely experience pain daily, other than occasionally.
The pain sits in two places; either in what I believe to be the terminal ileum, or at the end of the descending colon, and they do not occur at the same time.
The pain usually comes when I have eaten a full meal, and sits on exactly the same places, and usually lasts for max 10 minutes, and then disappear. At first I thought the right side pain came from the appendix, but after having studied pictures of the small intestine, I tend to believe that it comes from the terminal ileum, but I’m not sure.
I don’t take any painkillers or other medication, and since the pain lasts only some minutes, I haven’t done anything to investigate it further, and I always forget to mention it to my GP.
I went off Entocort 9 days ago (and the D has not come back...); but there is no difference as to the pain, with or without Entocort. If I were to explain the kind of pain, I would say as if someone bit me, if you understand what I mean.
Have any of you the same experience, i.e. occasional pain on the exact same places that last a few minutes and then disappear?
I would like to think that it is harmless and has a logical explanation, but I’m interested in hearing if this is a known phenomenon among people with MC.
