Just talked to Sally

Hi All:

Just wanted to let you know I just talked to Sally. She has a lot going on in her life right now and I'll let her tell you all about that when she has time.
One thing I know she won't mind me telling is that she is going in two days to get her top teeth removed and a plate put in, so will be out of commission for awhile.
We talked about the WCPPG for 2006 and she would like to cancel because of so much going on in her life right now and a lot of things unsettled, so having us all descend on her would be hard for her and I, for one, don't want to put any stress on her.
She's feeling pretty good physically and her shoulder is healing, but still bothering her a bit so still nursing that. Thea, her daughter, is helping her.

Well, I'm nursing a bout of the flu, so am starting to break out in a sweat just sitting here at the computer, so am going to sign off for now.

I'll get back to you all soon.

Good to hear from you. Sure hope you get over that flu bug soon.

After the hussle bussle and energy it takes to do the fall craft shows and then survive the holidays a person (even superwoman) gets worn out and that's when our immune systems go"ker-punk". I can relate.

Thanks for the update on Sally. I've been wondering how she was since I had not seen a post from her in a long time. Hope she's doing okay.

Happy New Year! I wish it wasn't 700 miles to go meet you when your in Alaska on the cruise. I'm certain your looking forward to that get-a-way.

Thanks Momster, I am glad that you could relate some info on her status, as we all have been wondering for awhile now.

Also sorry for you coming down with the flu, that seems to always go hand and hand with increased activity around the holidays. I know I go through this every year. Although this year I really cut back on what I was doing an had a simply but nice holiday together. It worked out well, and I didn't get the usual crash after.

Anyway, we know that this too would will pass, you just need to do some major resting to get yourself back in shape.

I hope that Sally gets things going her way soon. I certainly understand about the cancel...I would too. Besides I won't be able to go this year...especially if I get a new job, besides we are trying to catch up with everything. I have applied for un-employment and I am working on all else. It is always good to hear about Sally, although I'm sorry to hear that not all is going well just now. Did she mention how the MC was doing? I think she has had it in pretty good control over the past years. Please send her my love the next time you are in touch with her.

And please feel better. I have been down with a rotten cold for the past week myself. Even broke down and went to my internist yesterday. The good news is that I'm gonna live and I don't need to take any antibiotics. The bad news is that I should still be able to go through the colonoscopy scheduled for Thurs. LOL! I am dreading tomorrow night. BLECH!

Good Morning Everyone:

Just to let you know I'm still down with the flu, but had a relatively good night.

Sally is doing pretty well physically and did tell me that her MC is under control right now. She's just going through a lot of personal family stuff and very busy with that, so not to worry.

Well, back to my couch and juice. The stomach seems to have settled down - I managed to make some of my power chicken soup yesterday and kept it down last night, so maybe that helped. My stomach was making lots of noise, but the soup didn't go through me like everything else had been the day before. I had a bowl of plain white rice for lunch and otherwise didn't eat anything else. Still feverish and achy, so back to the couch and blanket.

Sally called me today! It was soooo good to hear from her. She goes to the dentist tomorrow. Poor thing, I hate the dentist, so does Sally.

We are going to get together for lunch in the next few weeks. I can't believe we live so close and rarely find the time to get together. When you have grown kids and grandbabies living with you, there is little time for much else. She has her daughter, son in law and Korben living with her too. We have much more in common that just MC!

Hope your feeling better Momster.....we are getting over the flu as well....it started with Kylee and ended with me. I even had a flu shot for goodness sake.

Thanks so much for the info on Sally. I hope things work out and we all know how family problems can impede our life in one way or another.

I had all of my top teeth pulled and a plate put in about 4 years ago and it went really well. I am hoping to do the bottom with the next year and a half.

Send Sally my love if you are speaking with her. I reall do miss her presence.
