I am hesitant to try magnesium as a supplement so have been using the spray. It has helped with my leg cramps. I don't care for the stickiness of it so used it on the arches of my feet right before bed. Slip a pair of sicks on and head under the covers...... It worked for me until it dried out my feet so bad that the skin started to peel. I was also using under my pits since it was another area that I could tolerate the feel of it. I've been using it as my sole deoderant for a while now since my recent scare with a second mystery nodule in my neck and the mystery bump in my breast. I figured if I could eliminate any potential chemical exposures it couldn't hurt.
While sitting behind a desk- it wasn't an issue. I've been at my new job now for five months (still loving it!) but am now physically active. I've not had a problem with odor control but since the spray does nothing for perspiration I find it creates a sticky-pit situation which is annoying. The warehouse has been a bit humid the past couple of weeks and now I am starting to get a heat rash under my arms.
I usually use the spray under my arms before bed and may do a light dusting of a cornstarch based baby powder in the morning when I get dressed but that doesn't hold for the entire day. Anyone else avoid traditional deodorants? I'm looking for suggestions as to what works?
I go for another ultra sound of my neck next week. It's been three months from the last one so we will see if the nodule has grown. It is a suspected undocumented surgical clip but I have my doubts about that. Only time will tell.
Am I being too paranoid about keeping aluminum and the other chemicals in deodorant away from such a lymph node dense area?

I've used a homemade mixture of coconut oil and baking soda that worked pretty well for me. I know some people are sensitive to baking soda in deodorants, but I seem to do okay with it. I mix it up (softening the coconut oil if necessary) and keep in a small container with a lid.
The basic recipe I worked from was this:
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/2 tablespoon baking soda
droplets of essential oil (optional -- I skipped this part)
It's not ideal to still be sweaty, but I figure it's worth it to not clog my underarms with junk to stop a natural (and necessary) process.
A friend gave me their recipe for homemade deodorant on the weekend.
1/4 cup bicarbonate soda
1/4 cup arrowroot
1-2 drops essential oil (optional)
6-8 tbsp coconut oil
Mix bicarbonate with arrowroot
Add oil until right consistency, (I was going to use 6tbsp of coconut oil and then add some magnesium oil)
Mix
Keep at room temp, or in fridge in hot weather
Dunk fingers in and rub on underarms...

My research on this topic is that perspiration is either/both a means of cooling the body and clearing toxins....
Now that I have cleared a lot of toxins via urine/poop by large doses of Vit E, Vit C, molybdenum, etc. and my gut is fairly happy, my sweat should not stink...
Got the arrowroot yesterday, will make the first batch on the weekend....
