Took it for a spin this morning. Just a couple of turns around the block. Got to stay close to you know where. Still did 3 k's (about 2 miles) I luuuuve it. Keeping away from gutters & feel more confident but need to slow when going from road to bike/walking path. Too fast & I shot straight out on to the road, Luckily no cars coming. Learned valuable lesson.
This is the name plate.

Hi Barb. The basket will be very handy when I get the courage to take it as far as the shops ( a mile away) Could put the milk, papers etc in there & Robert too if he gets tired running along beside me. Got up to 17 k's, about 10.5 mile per hour. Not bad eh!

Does Australia law require you to wear a helmet when riding a bike?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Yes Wayne, you have to & they can be B....y hot at times. Our local policeman is right on the ball with it too. Think I will take it to the shops tomorrow, early in the morning before there is too much traffic. Felt quite good after the ride this morning & may have another go this afternoon if the rain keeps away long enough. I need the exercise very badly.

Just promise us you'll be real careful...okay? Please? No more "shooting" out on the roads, watch them ditches, wear that helmet, no tickets allowed....
Hazel/Kathy. It is really hot for the tennis players. They say it is 10 deg hotter on the court that it is off so if it was 35 yesterday it would have been 45 for those poor devils. Supposed to get to 41 today or tomorrow. Bl..dy Hell. It has been good though. We have been watching it too. Always do. Used to play 5-6 times per week myself once until my back gave out. Nine weeks treatment put an end to me playing. Could have had a bit of 'hit & giggle' but that is not for me. Liked to sit up all night watching the Open once. Can't last the distance now.
Looks like you ride your bike in a beautiful spot. Lost my confidence in two wheeler after coming off it.
Going to a huge book sale today down in Brisbane. Many thousands of books at excellent prices.

41C is 106 F. That's like a bad August in Texas. Be careful that you don't get overheated at the booksale.

No chance of that Wayne. It is in the Convention Centre which is nicely air conditioned. You may have noticed Hazel that the players have ice 'necklaces' when they have a break to cool them a little. We have a little necktie called a 'coolit" that you soak in water which expands the stuff inside (can't remember what you call it) & makes it cold. It cools you through the veins in your neck. We silly people play bowls often in the hottest part of the day, between 10am & 1pm. If it was our kids we would spank their bottoms & send them inside.
