Hot at the Tennis
The heat at the Australian Open Tennis Championships is having a real effect on the players. One girl had to withdraw yesterday with heat exhaustion. It got to 39C (102F) yesterday but today they are expecting 43C (110F) When you consider that it is 8-10 deg hotter on the court it could come to games being postponed. A couple of the courts can be closed over under the heat rules which they eventually finished up bringing in yesterday but others continued to play out in the open. It is already 34C (93F) down in Melbourne and it is only 9.30am so it is really going to be a hottie.
