I have been very good with my G/D/S free eating. Some slip ups here and there, and I usually pay for it.
Overall, I am doing better right now. I wouldn't say it was a remission, but better than I was. I'm pleased to say I haven't had a "cleanup in aisle three" (accident) in 2 whole weeks. That's huge for me. In fact, I'm thinking that my biggest problem is gluten and soy and am thinking of bringing a small part of dairy back into my life, like some hard cheeses and possibly a wee bit of cream in cooking. I'll let you know how it goes.
If I hadn't found this place, I am sure that I'd still be in the same mess I was in 3 months ago. I do realize I'm not cured. In fact, things aren't perfect now. However, I am better than I was.....at this time. I would like to thank Tex and Gabes and others for helping me get started on a plan that really does make a huge difference.
I have multiple issues going on and was going to many doctors for 2 years. I can honestly say that I'm still in the same place I was when I started the doctor merrygoround and with the exception of my Neurologist 90 miles away, I'm done with doctors. I did get approved for SSDI IN Feb
I think about and sympathize with anyone going through this ugly IBD. It's certainly not for sissies or the faint of heart. It's one horrible, gross, stinky, messy and frustrating disease. I guess misery loves company because you all are here and we're in this leaky boat together.
Thank you for all your past, present and future encouragement.
