"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
Beautiful bird!!! I don't know why he won't talk. Do you talk to him?
My bird says things I say to him. He started talking when he was a baby.
I read in one of my bird books that they will say what they like the sound of. My bird knows the when I say, "I'll be back." That I am leaving, and he won't go in his cage unless I give him a treat. Now he has learned to run down, grab the treat, and get back to the top of his cage befor I can shut the door.
They definitely are intelligent creatures!!
Love, Kathyp

Jaco, a parrot in Salzburg, could not only speak but seemed to understand grammar. Whenever his person left, Jaco would say "God be with you." But when several people were departing, Jaco would change it to "God be with all of you."
Why not get him a tape of sentences? Or even a kids tape. I had a blue and green magcaw that I played kids songs and sayings for him. It helped him to talk. Love Oma
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance
