OK---UPDATE__U WONT BELIEVE

I didnt think I would have anything to add until tomrrow after surgery again!!!

BUT, LYNN called me and the SEIZURES,which arent SEIZURES, are being caused by DRUG OVERDOSE!!!!!

What brought them to this conclusion I dont know----
I would assume that if the brain waves showed good they would have gone for that connection?????

SO, they gave Kait, NARCAN, an opiate reversal drug for the over dosing???

Perhaps this has been what Kait has been going thru @ home---too MANY DRUGS in her system and she being over-dosed and her body reacting in this manner????

But one would think that a BLOOD WORK-UP should have showed something??????

On Friday, they were indicating that her body was *unknowingly* doing this~~~~~ GIMME A BREAK!!!!!!! which took as that *it is all in her head* well guess when think of it--yes the *surgeries* are all in her head but this?????

Tell U these neuros are really getting my *horns* up and Lynn is so very sad to listen to~~~~
Well---after all this I dont know how she is still in a *zone* of feeling--as much as she can be a pain she sure is a very strong mom~~~~

I gather there will be another confrontation with Harter,tomorrow morning, before surgery, cus SHE wants to know what the hell they are going to do---and as she said to me * I dont want 2 seconds with him in his SCRUBS(must be the comic series on TV) and rushing me with *gotta get going!!!!!

At this point I have to say I am in Lynn's corner---

We are calling Kait now-----and hopfully give her some up-lifting energies~~~

So I had to post this---tomorrow will be another chapter!!!! And of course ,I not being in the medical profession cant discharge this diagnosis--

PS. adding that Kait has been on pain meds for the past 3 years--what and how much of *what* I dont know--
Being her pain increased after the plate was inserted + the new shunting--she had been on INCREASED meds. @ home and @ the hospital!!
I am assuming that the drugs accumulating in her body have caused this issue???

I'm like you, I don't see how in the world her brain waves could remain normal, during one of those episodes, unless the meds are causing them to remain normal.

They should have considered that possibility right off the bat.

I agree with you. Lynn is an extremely dedicated mother. I guess you know where she inherited that trait.

Yes, I do remember what U U said to me----

I dont know if I am here hand in relief----or hand in *DUH*!!!

And to top it off---one of the 3 neuros,in on tomorrows surgery,who has seen Kait and her records----didnt KNOW THAT SHE HAD A CYST--which had formed ,maybe last year, in the spot where the first shunt was done @ 2 and 1/2 years of age????

Oh Sis,

Well, I am NOT surprised. As I said, nothing about Kait's course surprises me anymore. I think the biggest surprise was the day they gave her pot (marijuana) in the hospital. Remember?

Anyway, I am relieved to know that it was drug-related and not brain damage causing the seizures. We have to be thankful for small favors, right? Although I am angry that she had to experience even one unnecessary seizure, of course.

So sorry I missed your call yesterday. It was Ava's birthday and also I had promised her sister Jordan I would go to her indoor soccer game. Busy day! I'll look forward to catching up soon.
