My middle kiddo started coughing Sunday...yesterday he said his left ribcage hurt - Mike ended up taking him to the ER while I was at work as he felt something was up....well it's a mild case of pneumonia
He was having trouble coughing up all the mucous - apparently he aspirated some of it. Today was not a good day for a wrench like that - I was obligated to help @ preschool (or forfeit $75!) and Mike was on-call for jury duty. My gracious neighbor let him veg on her couch this morning while I fulfilled my preschool duties - luckily he's not considered contagious! Biggest bummer is doc said no PE/physical activity for 7 days - and it looks like after 2 weeks of delays, we will finally get to start t-ball *this* Saturday- oh well, he can suit up and cheer from the sidelines!Oh and my tutoring client came by after school for algebra help - about 20 minutes in she said she felt sick to her stomach- I told her to head home - I don't need a bout of stomach flu after what we've just had rip through here! We've all weathered this cough thing, and I naively thought we'd cruise through unscathed! I guess announcing to my playgroup we hadn't had a "sick" visit all winter to the pediatrician was a bit premature
Seriously, I think this is because we have not had 2 dry days in a row in a month! Everything is soaked and damp - no wonder everyone is coughing! Oh and they spent over 5 hours in the ER - Mike said it was a zoo!! He was wondering if it was a full moon or something! Aye - better him than me!
