the neuro here(must get his name) asked Lynn---why didnt *H* put in this anti-syphoning valve that I suggested to *H*!!!!!grrrrrrrrrr


Lynn's respnse was----*I thought he did?* Neuro replies. *well he didnt*!!!???

AND, *H* has been emailing Lynn----asking---what has he done/doing/will do and all sorts of questions that sound like *H* is getting a little edgy there!!!!

Its 3 pm---as of yet we heard nothing---last call was @ 9:30 this morning saying that Kait was still in the holding room---

I know 1 surgery was done today but as yet still no call!!!

Damn, such rotten timing---we should be there/here-----but Kristyn needs looking after----

Refresh---Kaits pressure #'s high and low--

This is the story so far~~~~

Remember back when Kait,in NYU,needed to have an ICP inserted and *H* said they didnt have an Xtra one around???
Then he got one and when the probe was inserted in to the shunt,it read 3--(which is great) then they checked the pressure in the brain fluid---which was reading 20/25---NOt good--!!!!!!!
*H*'s responce was---THE ICP must NOT BE WORKING right--does he get another??? NOOOOOOOOOOO---that

Her #'s have always been outta sinc!!!!!
I am totally dumfounded with this man~~~


NOW----Lynn called and she is cus the neuro ,in Phoenix, just finished checking Kaits ICP and he says to Lynn----

*Well of course something is wrong-----the numbers tell me that--!!!!!!!
same thing----shunt pressure good--3---and the other is in the 20's & up!!!!!!!!!! * DUH!!!!!

Naturally I started my verbalization of name calling that *H*~~~~
Lou got pissed off----@ this point !!!!I told U all---I never liked that man--from day 1~~~~

If this child has been suffering/being opened and shunted all over her body---cus this didnt get the message from the reading going from 3 into the 20's----then by sweet jesus something is certainly wrong with *H*!!!
All this friggin time~~~~

What happens next ---cant answer--the only thing I know---this neuro had suggested to Lynn--the possibility of a complete new shunt

Maybe a new ICP, whatever that is, will fix the problem. Oh boy would that be great.

Also, loved to hear about the goodness of the folks at the Ronald McDonald house. It is great that something like that exists for the families. Makes me want a double cheeseburger!

Kathy---the ICP(INTERNAL CRANIUM PROBE) is an instrument that just checks pressure readings~~~~

A simple item that seems to have confused the neuro in NY--all the years he has been working on Kait~~~

If this be the issue then it might be as the Phoenix neuro said---a whole new shunt replacement!!!!

You know, I'm hopeing is NEVER called upon to lay eyes on Kait again, much less touch her. I hope the new doc can fix her up so good she doesn't need to. Also, perhaps he could refer her to someone better than in NY. I remember that is considered "the best" but obviously that is NOT the case here.

I hope you are feeling more normal soon, Barb. You have gone through so much and I know you are torn between "here & there".
