Pilates Reformer and fecal incontinence

Post by Catieu »

Hello everyone,
I wanted to share a thought with you. And, while I'm at it, help someone.
I started practicing Pilates with a Reformer machine fifteen years ago. MC hadn't appeared yet. As many of you know, in Pilates, the point of strength is in the pelvic floor. Since MC debuted, I have never, ever suffered from fecal incontinence. I have made it to the bathroom just in time many times, but I have never had an accident in all fourteen years of my illness.
After thinking about it and talking to a friend, we came to the conclusion that it is thanks to Pilates and years of continuous exercise of my pelvic floor.
What do you think? Do you agree with me?
Does anyone else practice Pilates and also keep incontinence at bay?
Thank you very much.
A big hug,
Marta
