My mom's cousin sent me tons of them (about 3 books) when I had surgery. I didn't find them as addictive as some people....perhaps because its math and logic roled into one and that is similar enough to what I do all day, every day.
My Mom is now addicted. She found an online place that gives you hints and answers, or you can just print the puzzles and do them on your own. www.sodukuonline.com (I think).
Frank is also addicted to them and crossword puzzles and is a whiz at cryptograms. Me would just be the crossword puzzles. Too much brain work involved.

I'm sure you know there's been many articles on the fact that keeping our brains active really does help in preventing Alzheimer's. I enjoy the crosswords and the Jumbles, but haven't gotten into the Sudoku...yet!
Afraid I am a bit of an addict as well. Crosswords, Cryptics, Logics, any sort of word game & now Sudoko. Can't leave them alone & in fact have bought an electronoc Sudoko game with god knows how many puzzles. Good brain excersise, I reckon.
