"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
A: According to the experiences that we have collected in this group over a longer period of time it turns out there is not a clear cut answer to this question.
- Some people have been taking a probiotic for years and they continue to take it because they are feeling good or because their MC is in remission; it is unknown which role if any the probiotic played in reaching remission. Probiotics are recommended by Dr. Fine. He originally recommended the brand Culturelle but I believe he now recommends a probiotic from the Health Food Store's refrigerated area. If you have known food intolerances you must make sure the probiotic is free of offending ingredients.
- Other members have felt that they did worse when taking a probiotic than w/o.
