Mornin' All.
Oma, thanks for the vote of confidence.

To return the compliment, I enjoy learning about herbs from you. I have tried the lavender for relaxation, and it really works well.
Of course, in kiddies, the BP runs lower than adults. However, as far as I know the upper limits considered "normal" for BP in adults are still 140/90. Some docs treat lower BPs but many do not. There are so many factors invovled in BP - diet, exercise, GENES (a biggie), medications, age, position (it is lower when lying than when erect), stress level, etc., that I think it would be impossible to set one specific low value to aim for.
Genes may be a major reason that tribe has such low pressure. I think I am fortunate in that regard. At my internist's last week, my BP was 104/70. But my family has always had low BP. Listen to this! My mom, who is 87 and in long term care, has a BP of 100/60. She takes no meds for this, AND, she smoked for 60 years!!! Her heart and lungs are fine, too, for her age. A lot to be said for genes, eh? Sometimes I wonder why I bothered to quit smoking.....LOL!
Love,
Polly
