Thanks Liz and Oma! Here I am in the Apple of the USA. The flight was long, but very comfortable. I'm so used to those charter flights going to Mexico, it was wonderful to be on a huge 747 ... and they actually gave a menu before the meal! My flight arrived on time, 9:30 p.m., but it took forever to get through customs and then get the luggage. Carole and David were right there waiting for me holding up a sign with my name on it...and the word \"heh\" ... go figure? David drove us through Manhattan (WOW the lights on Broadway!) and then we drove the hour-long drive out to their place. We didn't get to bed until 2 in the morning. I'm up having coffee and they are still :sleep: Later today we're off to have lunch at the Tavern on the Green, the only restaurant in Central park. Friday we'll be out at their place on the lake, and Saturday the festivities with Polly and Barb (and significant others) begins.
