How are you all today? Having a good one, I hope.

I've been really busy so have just been quickly lurking to see what's happening and then back to work. Getting ready for craft sales and opening a store on E-Bay. I'd rather just do the crafting, but need to move some of my finished work out and help pay for materials. Anyway, things are going well and I'm keeping out of trouble.

John and I had a nice trip to Whislter, B.C. - for those of you who don't know about Whistler, it's a beautiful high end ski resort and lovely in the Summer also. We saw bears, deer, lots of birds and had fun watching the mountain bikers who are absolutely fearless and crazy.


I'm gong to have a new experience - my Dr. is sending me to a GI and for a colonoscopy to determine what she describes as "IBS". Thanks to information from Peggy and what I've learned here, I know that IBS is just a blanket catagory that Dr.'s use when they don't know exactly what the problem is. Anyway, I followed up with the Dr. by asking for the referral to the GI and colonoscopy. My family history on both maternal and paternal sides has bowel cancer, so it's better to be safe than sorry.
I've had a constipation problem right from babyhood and 62 years of that can't possibly have been good for my large intestine. Anyway, I haven't heard from the Dr.'s office as to when my GI appt. is scheduled for, but if I don't hear from them by the end of the week, will follow up on Monday. She has a very busy practice and sometimes the office staff needs a little reminder. I'll keep you all posted on events to come.

We're having a beautiful day today, so I'm going to escape from my beadboard and computer to get out on the scooter and maybe go to the lake and take some pictures.

Good to hear from you, been wondering how you are and what your up to. Opening a store on e-bay sounds exciting- you will sell your craft work? How do we find your stuff?

Sorry to hear about your IBS problems- you have been all too familiar with the MC issues( and so supportive) of Peg and so many others here for such a long time you must feel a bit more prepared going into the colonoscopy your having soon. That's a good thing.

Your trip sounds wonderful- picture is beautiful. Glad you had a good time. Are you still planning an Alaskan Cruise this summer?

We are all good here and enjoying the good weather and daylight. My gardens are looking pretty good dispite a cool summer so far.

How exciting about your ebay store! Hope it goes well.

I've been having problems with constipation myself. I've started taking a product called Mag O7 from aerobic life. It gives me the perfect bowel movement the next morning. I'll let you know how things go with the GI and when I can expect the colonoscopy. My GI appt. isn't until Aug. 16.

I wasn't trying to promote my E-Bay store, but just to tell you why I've been so busy. It's all very complicated and I've spent many hours in front of the computer trying to figure it all out. It means investing more cash to do some listings and I also got my business licence and approval for my business name and have to register it with the wonderful tax people, but I'm going to be in four cradft fairs - the first on Friday, so thought it was time to either take it seriously and work on it or just forget it. If I did carry on without going the proper routes, I could get into trouble. I have a friend who makes beautiful antique style jewelry and markets it on E-Bay, amongst other ways and does really well.

Anyway, that's what has been taking up all my time lately.

I miss coming here to visit you all, so am going to make time to take a break and be with my friends.

No, Joanna, we aren't going to Alaska this year - cancelled the triip because we're going to sell our mobile home that we've had a tenant living in and it needs work before we can put it on the market, so decided that had priority while the real estate prices are good.

Anyway, nice to talk to you this morning. Have a nice day. I'm going to try to stay out of the heat - supposed to be a hot one again today.
