Sooooooo---as U have been reading our stories and have gotten to know what we have been thru-----I shall add my little bit--
Pepto is a big NO-NO for me----the Bismuth gave me megga pounding on the left side of my temple---anyway it really didnt do a thing--
As my first GI was a total schnook, I finally found my new GI in New York City--
Due to being *un-treated* by #1, I had to go *aggressively* which was Prednisone + Colazal---(had tried Asacol but that was another that did nothing)
And the combo of P and C--was of great help---Pred. I believe was about 3 months---and I did have 2 other times of having to do the Pred.--not the happiest of meds. but does its job~~~
I was kept on Colazal as a maintenance but was taken off and now I am *controlled* with my eating habits---and avoiding certain fillers ---which arent that many---
I have to say I am luckier than most here--compared to what they have been thru---and still do--
Yes, I remember WHEN---couldnt leave the house---and leave only to YELL !!STOP!!---- and knowing where all the bathrooms are!!! Isnt that fun
The Entocort also was a no-no---left me with neuro. issues and that was only taking it for 2 days!!!!
Immodian works great for me!!!!! and so does Lomotil (tablet form)
We all react so differently to meds.--as our Sally says,*tis a crap shoot*.
There is really nothing else I can add
But thats how we learn---and Bob---its all up to U---U have to make the *call*
And U can ask ANYTHING U want to----
Good luck---with feeling better
keep a
