When we moved here---40 some odd years ago, we joined the American Legion Post and made many great friends----some we saw often--others would be @ Friday night dinners,@ the post, and the dances that we held @ the post--
There was this special couple---who got along with all and were just the most nicest, sweetest, truest people U could ever meet--
Al and Barbara Marino----no children---
Al did lottsa electrical work in our home and Barbara sometimes sat with me and gabbed--
Barbara wasnt too well but U wouldnt know it---
As the years rolled by she got worse---and it was cancer---
Today we went to Barbara's wake--and she looked so beautiful---peaceful-Needless to say Al was taken aback by the people that were there to pay their respects---says something for both of them---doesnt it
I didnt cry when I saw Barbara---I smiled and just placed my hand on hers and said *goodnight* dear lady~~~~
The gals from the beauty parlor even took turns getting to the funeral parlor-----that says even more about Barbara and Al---up to the time that she was able to get around Al took Barbara every week to have her nails done and her hair *puffed*---and he sat there and chatted with the gals---
So---the past few dayz have been saddened with the passing of my cousins hubby,Bill, and now Barbara---
Yet what a treasure of remeberances I have--
And I am trying to *punch* myself outta that BOX----as Polly words it
luve Barbara
